In Bruges - very good, funny and dark.
Best film I've seen in a while. _________________

Michael McIntyre, Live and Laughing. Excellent stuff. No shock tactics (though I do enjoy Frankie Boyle), his is entirely observant comedy and very good, too Thoroughly recommend. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Bought "Flight of the Conchords", watched it a million times, made images of the discs onto my computer then sent them over to Ewelina, in Poland.
Bought Ricky Gervais' live stand up DVDs, all three, Animals, Politics and Fame...have made images of them and will be sending them off soon as well. _________________ Ian Fulguirinas(dragonkillernz) |

Terror of the Zygons
Well, not exactly an amazing plot, but give me Men in kilts and with scottish accents and I'm happy _________________ The question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I, or the others crazy?

Season four of House. Got to love the Laurie!!
Dara O'Briain's Talks Funny. I think he is brilliant and I love his interaction with Frankie Boyle - must get his dvd.
Oh and the Curse of the Golden Flower, which gave me a headache and a wish for black and white movies. _________________ The mirror crack'd from side to side |

The Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
Very disappointing indeed.
Now I enjoyed the first two Mummy films. Great fun, plenty of tension, good fight and effects scenes, decent one-liners and well-directed. even a bit scary at times.
So, remove all the good points mentioned above and you have the third installment. I should have known. Different director, the lovely Rachel Weisz not involved and the whole thing dumped in China.
It was clumsy, charmless, badly scripted, just a bunch of set pieces poorly stitched together. Story weak. Plot lines non-existent, action sub standard and so much of it was derived from Indiana Jones, Evil Dead, LotR that it was like watching a crap homage to all three. Utterly tension free.
And I like Brendan Fraser. He's a good action hero. This was just shameful though. Clearly he was contracted or he surely wouldn't have stooped to make it.
You have been warned. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

Good that we didn't make it to the cinema then. Although we planned to.
I must admit, at first I didn't like Mummy 1. But then I saw it two times more and I began to appreciate it. _________________

I agree James , I am a big fan of the first two and was a little excited about this one, but was bitterly disappointed.
On a plus note though , we bought the kids Wall E for Christmas and all sat together and watched it. What a truly uplifting, charming treat of a movie, well done Pixar. |

Ditto on all above comments regarding Mummy 3 & Wall-E.
Last movie I watched on DVD...Meet The Spartans. Never in my life have I actually turned off a film before it's half-way mark. Total utter rubbish - will never see the light of day again. _________________ Yes, I'm still alive. Drop me a PM if you like |

Wall-E is amazing. I watched on the plane trip back from England. It's (probably) great for kids, but there's plenty for adults too. Considering the absolute wealth of garbage films being released, I'm glad there's been a half-decent one. _________________ Ian Fulguirinas(dragonkillernz) |

Manty - Criminal Minds.
Surely the best of the genre by a country mile. I am a fan of CSI, and CSI Miami's earlier series but Criminal Minds blows them all out of the water. Clever, disturbing, splendid acting and script. Just a great show. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |
