Just listening to the Hitchhiker's Guide-Audiobook, but somehow I don't like it that much. OK, some stuff is funny, but I prefer Pratchett and Fforde.

Just finished 'No Humans Involved' (Kelley Armstrong), it was a light entertaining read (plenty going on) but does rely heavily on you having read other books in the series. Not bad though, a full review is over Here.
I'm back on the sci-fi now with Joel Shepherd's 'Crossover'...

Listen to Lizzy, she's always right! I've just finished Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman on her recommendation and enjoyed it immensely - Stardust is still my favourite but this pushed it close!
And I'm someone else who has read the work of Mr. Chadbourn - thoroughly recommend it and hope that you enjoy it too!

Just finished 'The Orc King' by R. A. Salvatore...
Damned good read. Salvatore's taking the books, and the characters, in new directions and for a hardcore fan (me!) it's really interesting reading about how they develop as more and more of the proverbial hits the fan.

Really? Is it still possible? I've recently read "Promise of the Witch-King" and "Road of the Patriarch", and I hated it. Especially the last one - Entreri became Entreri because of a difficult childhood? Come on - when I get a bad guy, I want him to be really evil, not just with issues. |

Yeah the Entreri/Jarlaxle books were a little lacklustre but, unsurprisingly, I prefer the books involving Drizzt - his rivalry with Entreri was awesome. Now we have Obould for Bruenor and Tos'un for Drizzt.... or do we?

Im about 100 pages from the end of Lies Of Locke Lamora. So far its not been that bad. Not my favourite book of all time but still very respectable. The first 100 pages felt a chore to read though, once I got past those, everything was awesomeness

| Ive just finished reading Tyrant by Christian Cameron it was fantastic .It was set during the time of Alexander the Great and it very much felt like i was reading David Gemmell or our very own James |

Took a break from 'Crossover' to read Matthew Sprange's 'Shadowmage', a tale of rivalry between Thieve's Guilds and forbidden magic. It's an entertaining read that unfortunately doesn't stand out as being original in any way at all (although there's just enough there to make me want to see what happens next). My full review is over Here. I'm now finishing off 'Crossover', not sure what I'll read after that...

have you tried Sam barone?? he has 2 books out now, well worth a read.
im reading Soldier of Rome..its stated well but then drifted into a list of how a legion is made up...will keep going and see if it gets going and germanicus can kick some german butt. |

Im really into historical stuff at the minute , ive read 2 books about Attila the Hun by William Napier that have been really entertaining.Just waiting for third instalment.  |

I've just finished reading Joel Shepherd's 'Crossover', a tale of synthetic humans and political skulduggery on a galactic scale. A good blend of action and musings, on what it means to be human, meant this book lived up to the hype I'd seen posted elsewhere. I wish I'd been able to find out what GI (the term given to synthetic humans) actually meant though. Maybe I missed it... My full review is over Here.
I'm now reading Russel Whitfield's 'Gladiatrix' and I'm liking what I've seen so far...
