Has anyone had any experience of sly money-making tactics by Amazon? By example, I know they recently sent a press copy of a book (they get free press copies to read and review) to someone and yet charged them full price for it despite it being a free copy. As such, no money goes to the author and the customer gets ripped off... any other examples? _________________ Pagan Music |

Have no fear, they won't get away with it! I am penning my indignant letter to get my money back, whilst still keeping the book of course! _________________ "Constant Vigilance!" |

No, no, no, not good old Amazon.
Actually there is another thing they've done, which is that when you review something and it only goes on the one Amazon site, if you want to put the same review on another Amazon site, you have to have made an order from that site as well to post the review. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Sounds like a sensible anti-spamming policy to me. Good old Amazon... _________________ www.uksfbooknews.net - fantasy, sf, horror and graphic novel news from UK genre authors, creators and publishers.

It could well be an anti-spam policy, but it also just might, if they're lucky acquire them a little extra here and there from people trying to post a review on both Amazon sites as a favour. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |
