Does anyone else love Gillette Soccer Saturday? With Jeff Stelling, Le Tissier, Thompson, Nicholas and the legend Paul Merson (though he isn't on today) _________________ Excuse me, is your refrigerator running? Because if it is, it probably runs like you - very homosexually - Peter Griffin |

The Monkey Hanger fan is the best bit about that show! He's great at about four forty-three, when late scores are coming in and he doesn't seem to pause for breath for about 10 minutes! _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

Paul Merson on Soccer Special tonight, funny as hell, he's watching the Newcastle-Villa game. Fantastic!
Sounds like Carew and Young are doing well! _________________ Excuse me, is your refrigerator running? Because if it is, it probably runs like you - very homosexually - Peter Griffin |

Sorry, but those old pros can't really hold a candle to the Soccer A.M. crew - I know you actually have to be out of bed on a Saturday to watch them, which could be a struggle for most of you, but it's worth it for Yorkshire News alone...

A genius show if ever there was one! It is worth waking up for after a long week at work. _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

Stelling is THE best sports presenter on this planet, IMHO. What he makes look so effortless is incredibly difficult. Add to that his encyclopeadic knowledge of the game and his excellent reactions to Hartlepool games (seriously funny stuff sometimes) and it makes the programme a joy to watch.
And it shouldn't be, that's the thing. Watching grown men sit at desks watching games you can't see and telling you about them ought to be rubbish. But it isn't. Love it and I'm converting Clare too which is even better. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

All I have to say is "she's not as nice as you, dear", I get a sceptical look, and then left alone!!! _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

Soccer AM is decent fun but for me it is getting a little tired. I barely watch it though it used to be required viewing _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |
