Hi James, where did you get the name Auum from? Apart from loving the character I absolutely love the name too! My wife and I are expecting a baby at the end of August, if I had my way, I would name him (if it is a boy!) Auum. I know my wife wouldn't go for Auum to be the first name but I will push for Auum to be a middle name!!!!! I will let you know how I get on!![/b]

I believe James explained how he derives names in the Ascendants'section. I remember him mentioning he likes names that roll off the tongue easily like Hirad and Auum. Yea I like the elves'names too such as Ilkar!! and Ren'erei Very Happy

Auum was one of those names that came along with no effort whatever. And he grew from the name. It's one of my favourites and through the Elves series, he's become one of my favourite characters. Love him. And if you get the middle name, Imwiththeraven, you have to let me know. Presents will be forthcoming...

Good job I hadn't read the Raven when I was pregnant, I'd have had Hirad as a middle name for sure Cool
