Thought I'd start one of these... if anyone finds a review and wants to post a link here, please do share.

To start with, the excellent Falcata Times has reviewed the book and also published a guest blog from me about how I've gone about writing Takaar.

Enjoy (I hope).

Can I post my own mini-review here?
I figured no-one on this thread would be bothered about spoilers...

Anyway this book was an extreme test of my patience.....because I bought it the day it came out and forced myself not to read until until my flight to the far east last week Laughing

It really had me riveted. The political and emotional interplay between the main protagonists was excellent....it gave loads of insight and glimpses into the future of the Elves ("City" elves vs "Forest" elves)
The fate of Triverne....and hints at the division of the 4 Schools of Magic.

Pity the Arakhe are already on the scene though as I had been looking forward to them being brought in after the Sundering but I guess you double-bluffed me there!

I enjoyed having to double-take my thinking and it sets it up very nicely for Book 3 Cool

Loved the blog about Takaar, he is a genius character and very well written so far.

The second book is excellent, not a middle book in a trilogy, far too strong a book for that. Cool

Superb fight scenes, especially liked Auum’s market place...

Some questions answered and far more set. I will write a proper review soon.....

I've just posted my own review up on the Amazon website, at:

Suffice to say, I think it's James's best book yet!
