I just received an email from Amazon Japan with the following message:

James Barclay "Beyond the Mists of Katura (Elves)"

Dear Customer: We have learned that there has been a delay with some of the item(s) in your order indicated above.
When your order is shipped you will receive an e-mail message confirming the date, contents and method of shipment.

While I realize that this is probably a publisher related delay, I am hoping that someone reading this can provide a little more information.

Hi Conrad,

Beyond the Mists of Katura is the third book in the Elves series and I haven't actually finished writing it yet Smile

It won't be published until February 2013.

The second book, Rise of the TaiGethen, is due out in February this year so that's the one to order now...
