Premiered this past week in London, general release date 17th Dec. Got my tickets booked for the 18th at one of my local cinemas for a 3D screening, really looking forward to it - trailers look immense!!

I saw it in 3D and it was absolutely brilliant Smile

My friend saw it in 2D and said it was great but 3D didn't add anything to it....even though he hadn't seen it in 3D lol

It's deffinately done well for itself, highest grossing film of all time, which since 85% of tickets were 3D more expensive tickets, was slightly easier to get, but it's still a brilliant film. I went to see it 3 weeks after it came out and the showing was still sold out.

The plot is rather obvious, kinda Pocahontas in space, but when you're sitting there in the cinema, you just don't notice it. I saw the film in 3D and visually it is simply stunning, you get totally immersed in the world of Pandora.
BTW, it helps if you're a cat person, as Na'vi look quite like big blue cats Wink

Okay I went that weekend and sitting in the front row of a 3d movie makes you ill if you're prone to migraines so I found out- Sooooooo, several weeks later and in the Metrocentre we went again and sat right at the top cos there were bookable spaces and frankly, was blooming good!! Can see why he had to wait for the technology to catch up with it. Very Happy

Definitely one for the DVD collection.

To be honest I think the screen was also much better quality in the Metro than the one in Grimsby. Less interference and grain.

The freemo one's been closed again for ages. Never even got a chance to see what they did with it. Only open for a month.
But when I said about the Cleethorpes screen I was comparing it to the screen I went to at the Metrocentre. Brand new cinema so it's all posh, like.
Cost a bloody bomb as well. Neverr in my life have I ever even contemplated paying £20 just for tickets. Shocked
