The boat that rocked. And it did. Good brit movie, possibly helped by being old enough to remember Radio Caroline
Bill Nighy of course is fab, but the best bit is all the old music they played.
It also made me think how we take all the music available and access to it for granted now what with the billions of legal radio stations and t'internet.

Yet in a way I miss the thrill of listening to something like Radio Caroline, something slightly illegal but done for the greater good. Maybe there is something to be said for not having it all so accessible and on a plate. Maybe just maybe if it was a bit harder for everything to get heard we would have less dross in the charts and more decent stuff. Less of a Cowell take over....... _________________
