Did anyone else sit through this epic? I nearly had to get the calculator (ok, an old abacus) out to keep track of what was happening! Shocked

I love games like this. It was a fantastic match. A game of chess as everyone said, but one played by mad five year olds.

If chess matches played out like this game we'd all need crash helmets just to sit near the board... I've never seen a football match so closely resemble something from a games console!

Was absolutely gutted to have missed this one. From all accounts it was a throwback to the 4-3 games vs. Newcastle at Anfield in years gone by - proper end-to-end stuff with little or no defending to think about Laughing

Cracking game - best European game for years, although I would have preferred a better result. Then, we produce the same score against Arsenal!!! Pity it's all for naught this year, but I'm quietly hoping for no. 19 next year...
