If and i mean if James was to compile all of that "loose" knowledge that was floating about his head into a book about the world of Balaia what would you want to see included?
1) An accurate map of all the continents/worlds visted in the books, in full colour as well.
2) The workings of Magic, to include the working of the one magic.
3) full list and description of all spells, including college specific spells
4) the Baronial system
5) rules of trade combat
6) All characters and their brief histories
7) More information on Calaius, eg flora and fauna, customs and history of the elves.
8 ) A history of the protectors, including abilities gain by becoming one etc
9) A background to the mercenary trade, perhaps?
10) the four colleges, maps of cities, set up of leadership etc before, during and after the last invasion/demon surge.
11) The wesmen including history /info on Wytchlords
12) Physical and social description of all the Dragon Broods
13) Phyical and social description of all the types of demons.
14) a full history of the 4 colleges.
15) history of the Blackwings and composition, to include safe houses, fortifications and the like.
16) full racial work ups of all the people of Balaia.
17) full colour maps of sites of interest including map key
1 full backgrounds of important persona
As for presentation of the book, i agree limited editions and standard editions are a must.
update from below posts and my own twisted imagination.
for starters

All characters and their brief histories. (Even though I suggested it in the other thread- cos it's a good idea, dammit) _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Manty, you are a hero, thanks very much. I'd love to do a project like this and knowing there is interest makes it all the more likely. Not sure when but I am thinking about it.
Any other thoughts, get them into the main post and I can use it as a resource.
Cheers

these things i find always look and sell best with lots of illustrations and also pacakged well, so a nice leather cover, there have been a few companions over the last few years and makingthem limited editions has stood them in good stead, it did have the adverse effect of making the origional sale price quite high though! |
