How do we all go about doing it? Do you search for a specific book title online, or just hit google with"cheap fantasy books" or some such equivalent?
I only ask because I've been given a sort of pet project at work which if I can make relevant to stuff I'm interested in, such as books, I'll stand a better chance! _________________ Pagan Music |

I go to book sites I trust and enter the title or ISBN. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

I search for a book I already know I want, but I do look at the links sites like Amazon make. Whilst buying books online is easy, I still like to browse in bookshops first - I think that's part of the fun for me. _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

As I prefer buying books in our lokal bookstore, where everybody knows me already I don't buy very much books online the only exception are english/Foreign-language books as they are usually cheaper at amazon. Well and then I search for specific titles. _________________ The question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I, or the others crazy?

I only really shop for books on amazon and I normally know what I'm looking for as usually I have a list of books that I want to read.
When I'm in a patch were I've nothing lined up, then I'll often use amazon's recomendations thing and while choices made from this have been pretty hit and miss in the past I've found some good authors.
Otherwise, if I'm looking for a new book and don't have anything in mind I find going to a bookstore better. I know you should never judge a book by it's cover, but it's easier to find a new book in a bookshop than it is online. However, if I know what I'm looking for then I'll use amazon more often than not as sometimes that little offer they have can be handy when buying a series that is already a few books in. _________________ "You know what Jack Burton always says... what the hell?" |

i find there are so mnay work of mouth book recomendadtion and also i get catalogues of upcoming releases from publishers..so that i never step foot in book shops anymore...there never seems a need to.
But i agree in the past, to find a new author its easier to wander around the shops and its usually the cover that makes you stop and look!! showing the real importance of a great book cover, that stands out from the rest |

I live in Canada so I use the chapters website. I also work for them so that helps. Otherwise if I am looking for something rare I go to ebay. _________________ :If I knew where I would end up I would never bother leaving: |
