well topic says it all really, what are your favourite parts of the series ?
a couple of mine:
shout for the dead chapter 41
The figure spoke.
"What in the name of my God the Omniscient, and my mistress the Advocate, is happening on the Hill?"
He walked out of shadow and into the liht.
that one passage had me grinning like a moron ! it was amazingly written and built up to
Every part with Iliev and Kashilli in, those two just ooze coolness to me !!! _________________ "Squad seven! To the fore. Move!" |

Welcome, Iliev. Glad you enjoyed the Ascendants. Here are three of my favourite moments with the usual alert for SPOILERS (thanks for including that in the thread title, much appreciated)
SPOILERS below...
1: COTN - Jhered, after Kovan appears in the nick if time to save he and Mirron, embarrasses Kovan by noting he must be in love with Mirron. And when Kovan blusters, he says...
'No one comes back to save the taxman, boy.'
2: SFTD - Karl Iliev closing the doors to his office behind him and saying to the dead within...
'Gentlemen, I'll be needing my papers.'
3: COTN - Kovan sacrificing himself for Mirron and, later, Vasselis's reaction. A selfless act of heroism any of The Raven would have been proud to perform.
You chose a fine moment too, Iliev. A shiver down the spine bit. Gawd love Paul Jhered. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

I really loved "Gentelmen, I'll be needing my papers" bit. But I think the most memorable scene for me was Mirron's sacrifice. Really moving. |

Until know, the part where the Ascendants first meet the karku on the mountains. It's cool to see, there is somebody else out there who knows about the ascendants and their powers. I stopped reading to enjoy the suspense I'm very eager to find out more about the first Gorian. Hopefully I wont be disappointed |
