it is real...and i thought i recognised the lead guy...C Thomas Howell....SOUL MAN!!!....
BUT

this is not the sequel to the tom cruise war of the worlds....


C Thomas also did a war of the worlds in 2005 and this is a sequel to that.

I remember C. Thomas Howell as one of the 80's brat packers with the like of Charlie Sheen, Emilio Estevez, Mollie Ringwald etc.

He was the good guy in the original Hitcher film opposite Rutger Hauer and was also in Red Dawn.............................................................................WOLVERINES!!
