So, what does everyone think? Is Capello the man for us, or should we have an Englishman in charge?

Personally, I think Capello will do a good job - he's no-nonsense and will hopefully pull egos into line; something I don't think Sven or McClaren ever managed. As for the Englishman approach, I'm not bothered where the manager comes from as long as they deliver the goods. Football's a global game, and whilst I accept the players have to be English (although this isn't always the case - naturalisation and all that), get the best man for the job. Jose said no, so why not Capello? He's won titles at all the big clubs he's managed, has dealt with some of the world's best players/biggest egos (ie all of the Madrid squad), and will produce a team that defends well and sneaks goals. Works for me.

Still don't think we're good enough to get past the quarter finals of most competitions, but you never know!!!

As a club manager he's easily up there with the best, the guy has enjoyed success everywhere he's been. Hopefully he'll bring some of this to England's international setup. I'm quite pleased about the appointment.
