Well here we go again:

Last post by Selik, another one about a band I've never heard of and a type of music I've never heard. And the first one to offer to lend me some of it suffers, and I mean suffers.

--------------
Go onto Myspace and trawl through Saltatio Mortis' friends list. That's a great way to find similar music

Laughing I listen to too much music, I know. But now I have a legitimate excuse. Oh and last night was Paganfest so the last thing I heard was Korpiklaani and Ensiferum blowing people away, along with Tyr, Eluveitie and Moonsorrow.
Much fun was had... absolutely awesome night!

Actually, Saltatio Mortis is just a different type of medieval folk, so strictly speaking, you have heard of it Smile

Well i've just found the most awesome track ever. They're a folk group from the Netherlands and they've done a musical adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Raven'.
It's so cool! Also done one quoting Shakespeare's Macbeth and have the Witches Brew!

I've found my favourite band!! Very Happy

The Raven- Omnia

*pokes head round door* hmm only one again Crying or Very sad

Ah well. Just listened to the new Children of Bodom album, 'Blooddrunk'. (I know a few people on here like COB so i'm not just waffling to anyone)......Paul Wink

Okay, really good album. The usual COB mixture of speed and melody with classic Alexi style riffs.
Lyrically it's awesome. And a cool twist with the choice of bonus tracks to finish it off with too.
If you like COB and are'nt sure between this and something else....? Bin the something else. Very Happy

Scuzz has become better than Kerrang. At least from what i've seen. Kerrang includes far more indie music than it used to. It follows trends rather than what it used to do which was support the underground.
Having said that they've done more to help my mate's underground concerts than Terrorizer and that's meant to be ourely underground... go figure.
Ultimately it's become ...who pays more. Rolling Eyes

That song's a golden oldie?! I was playing pool a while back and they had songs playing on the tv that were from when I was in primary school. They were the 'classics' being played... i'm starting to feel old Laughing

ooooooh, old Status Quo album!

Hell, this is the music that ultimately got me into metal (believe it or not).
Old classic Status Quos, 'In the Army Now', and other tracks like 'Sweet Caroline' and 'Dear John', this eventually got me into metal!!!! hahahahaha, blame my father, I was listening to this stuff, age 2 + Razz

Editors - An End Has A Start. I adore "Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors".
