Okay this isn't specifically for Raven characters but since there isn't a joint section and I want to be particularly difficult, i've put it here.
Basically, both Raven and Ascendants, who is your one favourite character? Not one for each but overall And why?
Thought this might make an intersting discussion, but i'm going to weait and see what happens before posting my own _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Does it count when I still haven't read the Ascendants?
I'd pick Ilkar then. _________________ The question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I, or the others crazy?

*points* CHEAT!!! I'm going to leave my ultimate favourite till there've been replies. I'm trying to encourage more posting
(Selik would also like to point out that it is quite, quite shocking that you have not yet read the Ascendants. You are seriously behind on book reading and are officially chastised ) _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

I know *hangs head in shame*
(But I even have a very lame excuse I only got it for christmas and while I had university I read mostly in busses and trains and Ascendants isn't really a book to put in your pocket and take everywhere but as I have holidays now I really can't use that excuse anymore so I probably should simplyread it ) _________________ The question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I, or the others crazy?

Could this be heading for a crossover?! The Raven do enough dimension hopping, who knows where they could end up! |

Hirad all the way
Paul Jhered is fantastic but its still the barbarian for me. He is the sort of guy everyone should have as a friend to keep their lives from being boring. |

Oops forgot to add my vote. Hirad for me as well, although Jonas might have been battling him for top spot if we'd seen a bit more of him. |

It's still Hirad for me with Jhered a very close second . _________________

Just realised I didn't post a why
Firstly I think he's interesting cos he's obviously opposed the conquord and is now in the position of Marshall Defender.
Secondly I don't think he's actually as bad as Herine and Jhered make him out to be in terms of his plees for aid. I personally found Herine bloody annoying and far too blind in how she dealt with, well, pretty much everything, but that's just me
Thirdly, he's caught in between two opposing armies that basically want to use his country as a battefield and ultimately there was little he could do. Sort of 6 and two threes. At the end of the day people were going to die and he had to choose if it'd be now or later. It wasn't exactly a great choice to be honest and he did what he felt would in the end be the better for his people (which considering he's a politician now....... doesn't happen often )
I guess he gets my sympathy vote, really. I'll also say when it comes to Megan, she makes a brilliant politician... only a politician could sign the death warrant of someone they're meant to love
There you go. Tear that up if you like
Actually thinking about it, it'd be interesting to go back to before Atreska was part of the Conquord and see it from his POV then. Certainly had an interesting past, t'would seem if what he mentioned to Safinn was anything to go by. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Should I contribute? Should I bite....? Ok, here goes...
I like Tessaya.
Yes, I like Tessaya. Stop staring at your PC like that...
Why? He's just a brilliant 'impact' character. He's a walking, talking plot device who kick-starts everything he gets involved with. _________________ Pagan Music |
