i tried to get some new people for them by using my mailing list, but with that price no way.
Im thinking about not coming now, after people have lashed out on travel, accomodation and then this entrance fee they will not be wanting to spend loads on books.
its all well and good them doing an advance lower peice but they are just tryong to scalp the new people and those who just want to come for the day....how do they expect it to attract newbies?? |

Easy, they're trying to get people to join up to the BFS and book up for the whole weekend in advance. And judging by how much people were spendong on books the last time I was there, ?20 won't be missed by many...
... still, it's ?20 I'd rather have in my pocket than theirs! _________________ Pagan Music |

but that does not attract new people, it just gives an incentive to those who know abouyt it already, those who are new to the fan con will just seea huge entrance fee, and lets face it, whilst i enjoy it, i could go to a west end show for ?40, i could go to a big concert for ?40.
Im all for a bit of inflation...but a 100% increase??? |

if it's ?40 for just one day then i think i'll pass on that.
they have to think aswell about people who can't pre book or attend the whole weekend. _________________ I phoned a psyhic hotline and they told me they see a large phonebill in my future |

Think about us poor New Zealander's, spending all that money getting over there, then having very little money due to the damned exchange rate _________________ Ian Fulguirinas(dragonkillernz) |

Hey, I'm all for more planning! I'm the one who wants more details...the convention is central to my trip over there, but I don't know the country or anything very well, or what time you've got off work, so email me with some more details...I have to get back to my various extended family members with an idea of when I'll be staying with them so let me know ASAP then I can build a basic itinerary. _________________ Ian Fulguirinas(dragonkillernz) |

I would love to come, but as I live in Vienna, have to see my family in Romania over the summer and plan a trip to Turkey, I won't make it . Well, maybe next year. And maybe until then, I'll have read the Raven Series aswell . |
