I know this is probably highly unlikely, but to see him return without the icewind injury would be interesting.
(And yes, Drizzt that was a good scene lol) _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Well I've just read the news and I am most excited! I was (am) a massive fan of the Raven books and whilst I did (eventually) like The Ascendants of Estoria I am really, really looking forward to a return for the Raven.
Reading the news got me interested, but reading a rough outline of the plot has me very excited. I just hope Hirad isn't too dark due to his time being dead and all and that Ry Darrick makes a come back after his rather un-heroic passing.
I wonder, has James got a taste for zombies after A Shout for the Dead and they'll all come back as the living dead. Will they just be spirits or will they be fully reincarnated?
I'm guessing a lot of the action will be taking place in a spirit world of some sorts as well as in Balaia. Something to do with the soultank (?) and the Protectors perhaps?
All this talk of the Raven has got me wanting to re-read the books which I think I'm going to start doing. |

Whilst I have a number of unread books in my collection (and FantasyCon and all its bookstalls coming up!) I think I'm going to have to revisit my Raven collection. Already looking forward to Elfsorrow! _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

So what members of the Raven do you think will appear? The teaser on amazon suggests members old and new so could we be seeing characters like Ras, Larn and Talan appearing as well as more recent members?
Yes I am currently re-reading Dawnthief! _________________ "You know what Jack Burton always says... what the hell?" |

My hope would be to see Sirendor again. Sirendor, Hirad, Ilkar and Thraun alongside Unknown and Denser. _________________ "Right so we're going to steal a bomb that can be remote detonated, take it back to our base and then huddle around it? That sounds like a great plan." |

I'm looking forward to readiong it, but at the end of Demonstorm, the Unknown could hardly even walk. Surely they're a little too old for this kind of stuff?
But it'll make it a very interesting read, with how nackered they're going to be this time.
And although i like the Ascendants of Estoria, I'm sure some will agree with me that it wasn't as good as the Raven, but this may be partially due to the fact that The Raven were simply put LEgends.
And will all of the dead be in the same form as they were when they died? |

That's one thing which has a few of us waiting with interest! And I now at least one of us, so by extension two of us, await the return of Selik with great interest! _________________ Pagan Music |

Hello Rudarus and welcome to the forum.
Good question Wulfa. As long as Hirad and Ilkar are back to banter with Denser then I'm happy _________________

That's what I was wondering. Would be cool to see Selik in a totally different light.
Cool name by the way. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Cheers. Its going to be strange though. And Darrick willb e back, but I was never really that fond of him- he didn't have much fun, except from laughing at children as they failed at mounteing horses. |
