Hi guys!
SPOILERS - - - - - SPOILERS - - - - - SPOILERS
Firstly, thanks to James for my signed copy of Elfsorrow, which is sitting on my bookshelf after my stupendous victory ( ) in the last quiz!
Secondly - I've finally got my internet working!!! (sorry for being off topic, Lizzy!)
Anyway - the reason I requested a copy of Elfsorrow from James is because it's my favourite book, because we meet the Tai, one of my favourite non-Raven characters is in it (Yron), and then there's THAT death. I think I also enjoyed it because it was the first trip away from Balaia into a completely different 'world'. _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

I agree with you there. I really liked the fact that we get to see other continents and places in the same world. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

I think Elfsorrow opened a whole new world with endless possibilities, for me seeing the elven continent is the biggest difference between the Chronicles and the Legends. You would expect some similarity between the two continents, but their really arent any comparisons to be made, they are completely different and I think that really opened up the world that the raven lived in.

Definitely my favourite book as well. Wall-to-wall action from start to finish, good characters and a new playground for James to have fun with. Jungle-chasing as opposed to dungeon-crawling. Great stuff! _________________ Pagan Music |

The Tai are awesome, so for them alone I love Elfsorrow, let alone everything else in it. It's not my favourite though. Dawnthief is. _________________

Elfsorrow nearly made me cry, but Dawnthief has to be my favorite as it introduced us to "the Raven". |

Favourites wise, mine is stuck between Nightchild and Elfsorrow. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

I'd go with Dawnthief as my favourite, closely followed by Elfsorrow. The first book really opened my eyes to a great group of Heroes and Villains, and the true introduction to the Elven Nation was a fantastic read.
Thanks from me to James for signing my Chronicles set at the Nottingham meet, and thanks to everyone else who made the trip - was good to put a few names to faces at last _________________ Yes, I'm still alive. Drop me a PM if you like |

Dawnthief is a close second for me, because it is the intro to the Raven, but I liked the composition of the Raven in Elfsorrow, with Ren causing friction, Unknown not his original awesome self, but Hirad still driving them all on. _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

The Elfsorrow quiz was done before the new forum came up. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Agreed, except that Elfsorrow really made me cry *sniff*.
Anyway the book is great, I always loved elves, but in many book they're so (ahem right english word missing ). In Elfsorrow they're different, shown from a different point of view. _________________ The question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I, or the others crazy?

Definately a good book. The twists in it were very gripping, i enjoyed reading this one. I dont think it was the best of the books however, but was a very good opening to Legends of the Raven |

i adore all of the books. *tries to pick one*
elfsorrow had the wonderful elves. I loved the guys with the panthers, and renerei was class!
hhm, nightchild was ace, but too much Denser and Erienne. they always annoyed me.
it's bee a while since i read any of the books, and i don't remember much about noonshade or shadowheart...Demonstorm was excellent but it had far too much action...
dawnthief was EXELLENT!!!!! but i read that years ago...all i remember is i got hooked on it.
i think i'll say elfsorrow! _________________ Jolinare~
