James if you could write a novella about the beginings of anyone member of the Raven who would it be and why?
Ps. It was good to actually meet you at Fancon, and all the other reprobates as well

Hmmm... good one. There are many candidates. The Unknown's boyhood years and his flight from his destiny as a Protector would be right up there. Denser and what it means to become a Xetesk mage would also interest me.
That's two for starters but I think The Unknown would win out as it's a story about courage of the young in the face of fear. About determination and about strength of mind, will and body. Plenty of potential there for a good drama, I think.
Good to meet you too. Shame your food took an eon to arrive in the pub that lunchtime... _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

Would explain why my food turned up on time
But enough of none thread relative discussions.
And I vote for the tales of Will and Thraun, sort of a Thieves World or Ffarad and Grey Mouser stories. I bet Will has a really good back story. _________________ Member and President of the Will Begman Appreciation Society.

I wouldn't mind one about Tessaya. Get to know the Wesmen a bit better and he's a pretty cool character to boot. _________________ Pagan Music |

We all know what I'd want but I'll say it anyway... Selik! Be good to see events running up to, and during his initiation into the Blackwings.
Granted he's not a member of the Raven, but he was one of their worst enemies. That has to have an amount of cred to it _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Considering the convos we've had, it'd be cool to see how close we got when guessing bits of his history. Granted we already know more than is obvious in the books! mwahaha!
But yes, Selik would be an interesting one to read.
*looks at everyone pointing and staring* YES HE WOULD!! _________________ Pagan Music |

yes ... I don't know how Sel manages to do it, but everytime we converse ... somewhere in that conversation at least once a day ... Selik comes up. I agree though would be an interesting read. _________________ Come see me at my other spot locations:

Least i'm not the only one who thinks that though. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

I'd like to see a novella of Hirad and Sirendor, and how they became best friends. And how Ilkar fitted into that as well. Not asking for much, then! _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

There are some good ideas coming through here... real food for thought. Thank you. If any of them see the light of day in any form, fullsome acknowledgements are sure to follow... _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' I also wouldn't mind seeing something involving the Wreth-Sires. Seemed pretty mysterious from what I read of them in the Raven books and anyone being generally left alone by the rest of the Wesmen must have an interesting story to them... _________________ Pagan Music |

Id like to see a book , or even a series based on the tai, there is a whole other land there to be exploited, there must be a wealth of stories that could be based there, and the characters! well the skills of the tai and the elves in general..WOW what a story james could weave! |

I already have notes on just such a thing, dear General... no concrete book ideas yet but stacks of potential as you so rightly say. Have even discussed it briefly with my editor so certainly not out of the question.
As for the Wrethsires, there is indeed untold stuff about them. We'll see if it ever appears in anything. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |
