|
|
Hi y'all.
Right, James hasn't had much exposure in the US yet which is a shame. Terry Brooks (massively famour US author, for those who don't know him) has a forum with huge interest which I post on occasionally. I've pimped James' work on there before but at long, long last another member of that forum has asked about James' work. If anyone else is a mamber of the TB forum, get your ass on there and do your duty!!
This may seem crass, but I'm not kidding about the exposure that forum has - hundreds of lurkers, all reading posts. Who knows, could well give James a slight helping hand in making it big over there which would be nice.

I pimp james books and a few other authors on every forum i go too, even if they have nothing to do with books, or fantasy...who knows it only takes one to bite and post and then you get word of mouth ...and it snowballs |

Drizzt, and all of you who do such fantastic work on my behalf, I am ever in your debt.
Seriously, that's just great of you. Thank you. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

i've attempted to pimp james' books to my friends from a writing course group but the best success i got was "those are the colourful pages one's aren't they? I believe I've read one". failures.
whoever decided to give the raven books coloured edges was a genius, they certainly do catch the eye! |

i've just emailed a guy who is in canada. He's a retired wrestler but on his site he does this thing called book marks where he gets the member of the site to read and review the books that are selected. It's his way of getting people reading. Hopefully if he takes an interest it might help via word of mouth to spread the word of james. _________________ I phoned a psyhic hotline and they told me they see a large phonebill in my future |

I once emailed Eric Van lustbader with a random question about one of his books, but in actual fact it was devious ploy to tell him how good James books were in the hope he'd be like "really I will tell all my friends", he never got back to me though !!.
I think getting onto another forum maybe the answer. _________________ I always knew Chang was Chinese Intelligence.

lol, funny you should mention that, i've had similar reactions, though fortunately a few people have also bought them as well as admiring the page colour _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |
