Initially read Magician and loved it.
Read a few in the Riftwar saga and got bored.
That was many moons ago!

I recently picked up Rides a Dread Legion and while it is good there are so many references to many types of badness/aliens etc from the old books that I just have no clue about. Embarassed

Could someone do me the kindness of a small "index" of who/what various main protagonists are.
For example - what is a Dread Lord? (and the other "main" alien races)
Why is the 5th Circle of the Demon Realm of such significance?
